St Katherine has many options for accommodation. Bigger, more luxurious hotels, old guesthoues, and Bedouin-owned camps are all available. For hikers, a Bedouin camp is best, at least before the challenge. These are hubs of mountain expertise. Staying in a Bedouin camp is also a way of supporting the local Bedouin community in their homeland, which is part of what the challenge is all about. If you want a bit more luxury, bigger hotels are great for kicking back with a well-deserved sense of achievement when you finish. Another option is to head down to Dahab, Nuweiba or Sharm, on the sea.
